The Canine Classroom just loves creating fun-loving, well-behaved dogs.
Since opening in 2010 The Canine Classroom has trained over 40,000 dogs. Of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. A true training professional Ryan has grown The Canine Classroom into Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast’s premier dog training school. His team of Professional Trainers have all been qualified not only as dog trainers but up to the standard of The Canine Classroom.
Unlike a lot of schools The Canine Classroom works on the principal of ‘objective assessment’. Sure it feels great to see you dog progress through the ranks but if its subjective, or you don’t know why they passed, then how much confidence will you really have in your pet? Instead The Canine Classroom sets a clear standard that dogs need to demonstrate to pass.
And you pay for results, not time! As everyone’s lifestyle and dog are different The Canine Classroom offers penalty-free training courses allowing you to train as often or as seldom as like, until your dog reaches your desired level. And even then our more advanced members can receive free training for the rest of their lives if they wish.

Ryan started his dog training journey in 2014. Ryan recently took ownership of The Canine Classroom in July 2022, and is enjoying spending time helping dog owners in private lessons and walk & trains. Ryan loves instructing classes, but his speciality is working with dogs that are human or dog aggressive, and in the last 10 years has personally trained over 15,000 dogs!

Since joining in 2021, she has served as the operations manager while also teaching group classes, conducting walk-and-train sessions, and offering private lessons. Having grown up with a variety of dog breeds—including Poodles, Pomeranians, and Border Collies—she developed a special affection for German Shepherds, particularly those her uncle brought home from the police force.

Tegan is a dedicated canine educator with over three years of experience at The Canine Classroom, where she is honing her skills in dog training and behaviour modification. Prior to this role, she worked as a veterinary nurse and kennel hand for four years. Tegan specialises in teaching weekend classes for all age groups, from playful puppies to more advanced controlled obedience.

Renee is our newest trainer, after coming from a background of running her own dog walking and pet sitting business for 8 years, and then later working in dog daycares. Renee can be found at our Brisbane group classes where she is just moving into an instructor role, and is also responsible for many of our walk & train sessions during the week!

Nicole joined “The Canine Classroom” in 2019 as admin support after starting the NDTF course. These days, Nicole’s life is all things dog. From training other people’s pets to hitting the sports field in various disciplines with her own, her skill set and understanding of what makes dogs tick has really grown.

Theresa comes from a background of breeding and showing Rottweilers, and made her start with The Canine Classroom while training her own dog. Theresa also runs her own successful dog grooming salon, and is currently studying the NDTF dog behaviour and training course. Theresa can be found on Saturdays running admin, as well as training her own dog Kaiser in our classes.
